Central Broadcasting Authority

The Central Broadcasting Authority is the former department directly under the Central Government in charge of radio and television work, and was originally called the Broadcasting Authority. It was established in November 1949 by
Government Administration Council
The General Administration of Information, formerly known as the China Broadcasting Administration.
In May 1982, it was renamed the Ministry of Radio and Television

In November 1949, the Central Broadcasting Authority was established under the leadership of the Information Bureau of the Government Administration Council.
In February 1952, after the dissolution of the Information Bureau of the Government Administration Council, the Central Broadcasting Authority was established
Culture and Education Committee of the Government Administration Council
Lead.
In 1954, the technical and administrative business of the Central Broadcasting Authority was led by the Second Office of The State Council, and the publicity business was led by
Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee
Lead.
On December 12, 1967, the Central Broadcasting Authority was established

On January 2, 1973, the Central Broadcasting Authority was reinstated as a director and the Party's core group was established.
In 1977, the Central Broadcasting Authority was placed under the leadership of The State Council, and the publicity business was under the control of The State Council

In May 1982, according to the decision of the 23rd meeting of the Standing Committee of the Fifth National People's Congress, the Central Broadcasting Authority was abolished and the Ministry of Radio and Television was established as a department of The State Council.
In January 1986, the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Sixth National People's Congress decided to change the Ministry of Radio and Television to
