The "China Top 100 Multinational Companies and Multinational Index" is produced by the China Enterprise Confederation on the basis of China's top 500 enterprises, China's top 500 manufacturing enterprises and China's top 500 service enterprises, based on the data voluntarily declared by enterprises and with reference to the standards of the United Nations Trade and Development Organization. China's top 100 multinational companies are non-financial companies with overseas assets, overseas business income and overseas employees, ranked according to the total amount of overseas assets; The transnational index is calculated according to (overseas operating income ÷ total operating income + overseas assets ÷ total assets + overseas employees ÷ total employees) ÷3×100%.

China's Top 100 multinational Companies list 2019
1. Scale and entry threshold continue to increase
In 2019, the total overseas assets of 100 Chinese multinational corporations reached 9,513.4 billion yuan, the overseas operating income reached 6,347.5 billion yuan, and the total number of overseas employees reached 1,391,971 people, an increase of 8.93%, 6.41% and 7.31% over 2018 respectively. The entry threshold for the top 100 Chinese multinational companies in 2019 is 9.858 billion yuan, an increase of 2.636 billion yuan over 2018.
2. The transnational index has increased steadily
The average multinational index of the top 100 Chinese multinationals in 2019 was 15.96%, an increase of 0.16 percentage points over 2018, and an increase of 3.72 percentage points over the average multinational index of the top 100 Chinese multinationals in 2011.
The proportion of overseas assets, overseas operating income and overseas employees of the top 100 Chinese multinational corporations in 2019 was 16.96%, 20.17% and 10.74%, respectively, which increased by 2.23, 2.83 and 6.07 percentage points compared with the top 100 Chinese multinational corporations in 2011.
3. Developed regions account for the majority, and state-owned enterprises dominate
China's Top 100 Multinational Companies Index 2019 China National Petroleum Corporation Limited, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation Limited, China CITIC Group Limited, China Cosco Shipping Group Limited, Tencent Holdings Limited, China National Offshore Oil Corporation Limited, China National Chemical Corporation Limited, Huawei Investment Holdings Limited, State Grid Corporation Limited and China Communications Construction Group Limited ranked the top 1 0 bit; There are 8 state-owned enterprises and 2 private enterprises.
China's Top 100 multinational companies in 2019 cover 16 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, mainly in economically developed areas, with Beijing accounting for 43%, Guangdong 12%, Shanghai 9%, Shandong 7%, Zhejiang 6%, Jiangsu 4%, Henan and Yunnan 3% each, and Anhui, Liaoning, Hunan, Hubei and Gansu 2% each. Hebei, Fujian and Xinjiang each accounted for 1 percent.
In 2019, there are 27 private enterprises, 73 state-owned and state-owned holding companies, among which 38 are central enterprises.
