In 1953, Ji2 Railway officially started construction, in order to avoid the low-lying terrain of Yanchi, the railway line was moved 9 kilometers west from the traditional traffic line, and 6.5 kilometers south of the traditional border line at the Jianguo Railway station, the station name was originally called "Erren", because of the difficulty of pronunciation, more called "Erlian".
In January 1956, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Soviet Union, Mongolia and Eastern European socialist countries to participate in the railway transport was officially opened, the station as the center of the building complex became the prototype of this company.
On March 7, 1956, Erlian Town was established under the Sunite Right Banner of Xilin Gol League.
