The construction of White Stone Bridge
In the 1990s, there were calls to build a new river crossing on the Qianshan River.
After 2000, due to the needs of urban development, a new river crossing in Qianshan River was put on the government's planning agenda.
On March 25, 2014, Zhuhai Transportation Bureau held a public hearing on the project of Baishi Bridge [5] . On June 6, Baishi Bridge was approved by Zhuhai Development and Reform Bureau for the Baishi Bridge project [6] .
On June 29, 2015, White Stone Bridge held public bidding activities. On July 31, the White Stone Bridge again conducted public bidding activities [7] . On September 20, the construction of the White Stone Bridge began. On October 31, Baishi Bridge completed its trestle construction. On November 23, the construction of the No.3 pier of Baishi Bridge began [2] . On December 11, the construction of the Baishi Bridge started.
On August 31, 2016, Baishi Bridge completed the concrete pouring of the second cast-in-place box girder of the West Bund approach Bridge [8] .
On February 28, 2017, Baishi Bridge completed the top tower column of Pier 4 of the main bridge [9] . On May 27, the self-anchored suspension bridge of Baishi Bridge completed the system conversion [10] . On June 4, the Baishi Bridge completed the first joint pouring work of the east approach bridge, marking the completion of the main structure [3] . On July 23, the construction of the Baishi Bridge was completed [11] . On July 30, the White Stone Bridge was completed and opened to traffic, and the opening ceremony was held [4] .

Baishi Bridge is the first self-anchored suspension bridge in Zhuhai. The main tower adopts "H" frame concrete structure, designed as double-tower superimposed beam self-anchored suspension bridge, and the approach bridge structure is prestressed concrete continuous box girder of equal height [13] . The upper and lower beams and decorative arch rings are arranged between the tower columns, and the four corners of the outer surface of the upper tower columns are provided with landscape decorative columns and the top saddle. The lower tower column is a solid round end section, the upper tower column is a solid rectangle and a decorative arc section is set at the four corners, the upper and lower beams are a single box and single room section, and the decorative arch ring is a solid rectangular section. Among them, the lower beam is a prestressed concrete structure, the top saddle is a steel structure, and the rest is an ordinary reinforced concrete structure [12] .
