Short track speed skating
Short track speed skating, its origin and "short" closely linked. In the 19th century, some speed skaters in Canada often went to indoor skating practice, and slowly this sport was shorter than the speed skating track, short track speed skating was born.
[24]
Speed skating takes place on an ice track with a circumference of 400 meters, while the short track speed skating arena is only 111.12 meters per lap. Speed skates have long blades with narrow, flat blades to skate faster with less drag. The skates of short track speed skating are short and curved at the bottom of the blade, which is convenient to reduce the contact area with the ice, so as to draw an arc at the bend. And the skate will be higher, even if the slope of the skate is very large, you will not worry about the shoe contact with the ice. In short track speed skating, there is physical contact, so athletes need to wear safety helmets and goggles, wear knee and neck guards, especially pay attention to wear anti-cutting gloves and leg pads, which can avoid danger to the maximum extent. Short track speed skating tactics can be divided into leading tactics, trailing tactics, covering and matching tactics and psychological tactics.
