The college has five undergraduate programs: Mechanical Engineering, mechanical and electronic Engineering, robot engineering, vehicle engineering and Industrial Engineering, among which vehicle engineering is the national first-class major and Beijing first-class major, and mechanical and electronic engineering is Beijing first-class major. It has a first-level master's degree in mechanical engineering, a second-level master's degree in vehicle application engineering, a mechanical master's degree authorization category, and a MEM degree authorization field of industrial engineering and management and logistics engineering and management.
The school has a well-structured faculty that combines academic, applied and practical research experience. At present, there are 62 staff members, including 52 full-time teachers, 49 people with doctor's degree or above, 13 people with senior titles, 20 people with associate senior titles. There are 5 doctoral supervisors and 28 master supervisors.

Won the first and second prizes of Beijing Education and Teaching achievements.
The College pays attention to the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality, attaches great importance to innovation and entrepreneurship education, actively responds to the call of the state, Beijing and the school on innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, innovates the talent training mechanism, relies on the innovation and entrepreneurship education demonstration base of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and takes "Challenge Cup", "Mechanical Innovation Design Competition", "Youyu Sandtable Competition" and "Traffic Competition" as the carrier. Organize teachers to guide students in scientific and technological innovation and improve students' practical operation ability. In the past two years, it has won 10 national awards, more than 70 provincial and ministerial awards, and students have applied for more than 60 national patents.
The college focuses on school-enterprise cooperation and collaborative education, and has set up off-campus practice education bases with many enterprises such as CRRC Group, Beijing Metro Operation Technology Research and Development Center, and SumU Group, among which Beijing-Hong Kong Metro has won the municipal off-campus talent training base. The College has maintained close exchanges and cooperation with universities such as Aachen University in Germany, University of Washington in the United States, Auburn University in the United States, South Wales in the United Kingdom, Tsinghua University and Beihang University. With the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom to adopt the "3+1" model of joint undergraduate education, the selected students can obtain two school graduation certificates. The school has a "double training" program with Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Beijing Jiaotong University, and a "foreign training" program with the University of Washington. The college has the Beijing Key Laboratory of Service Performance Guarantee of Urban Rail Transit Vehicles, Beijing Construction Safety Monitoring Engineering Technology Research Center, Urban Emergency Rescue Equipment Research Institute and other scientific research institutions, formed the mechanical design and manufacturing and theory, mechanical and electronic engineering, urban rail transit vehicle engineering, emergency rescue and reengineering intelligent equipment theory and technology four characteristic disciplines.
