The main research fields of Beijing Architectural Culture Research Base are architectural ethics and urban space philosophy, the characteristics and functions of Beijing urban architecture culture, and the protection of Beijing architectural cultural heritage.

Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Marxist theory, philosophy, law, sociology, architecture, environmental science, management and other disciplines, focusing on the national strategic needs of "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development" and "four centers" as the capital function positioning and the construction of Beijing's urban sub-center, carry out interdisciplinary research in the field of architectural culture. Promote the base to become a scientific research platform for Beijing's architectural culture, a talent training platform for architectural design ethics and aesthetics, a consulting and suggestion platform for the protection of Beijing's ancient capital features and modern urban construction, and a scientific popularization platform for the popularization of architectural culture knowledge and architectural aesthetic education for citizens.
Beijing Architectural Culture Research Base undertakes 105 scientific research projects at all levels. Among them, the National Social Science Fund project and
National Natural Science Foundation Project
16 projects, 23 Beijing Philosophy and social science planning projects, 6 humanities and social science projects of the Ministry of Education, 4 projects of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, 46 open projects set up by the base. Other projects undertaken include:
