Anti-Japanese War period

Before and after the Anti-Japanese War, he worked as a lawyer and actively participated in the anti-Japanese national salvation movement under the leadership of the Party. After the "September 18" incident, he participated in the peripheral organizations of the Shanghai underground Party, united people from all walks of life, successively participated in the organization of the Shanghai Vocational Salvation Association, the Shanghai National Salvation Association from all walks of life, the National Salvation Association and other progressive groups, edited the "Life Knowledge", and propagandised the Party's anti-Japanese claims. In November 1936, together with Shen Junru, Shi Liang and other famous patriots, he was arrested and imprisoned by Kuomintang reactionaries for actively participating in anti-Japanese national salvation activities. He was one of the well-known "Seven gentlemen" at home and abroad, and was a leader of the National Salvation Association at that time. In 1938, he joined the Communist Party of China. Later, he engaged in the Party's united front work in Wuhan, Chongqing and other places, launched a constitutional movement with Shen Junru and other leaders of the National Salvation Association, organized the China Economic Cause Association, and waged unremitting struggles for the persistence of resistance, unity, and progress.

Period of liberation War

During the War of Liberation, Shachinli founded the Shanghai Organization of the National Salvation Association, united all parties, trade unions and educational organizations in Shanghai, organized the Shanghai People's Organizations Federation, and promoted the democratic movement. He defended progressives persecuted by the Kuomintang as a lawyer, and was therefore persecuted by Kuomintang reactionaries. He then went to Hong Kong to participate in the leadership of the Chinese People's National Rescue Association. In January 1948, he attended the Third Plenary session of the Democratic League Central Committee in Hong Kong, and made contributions to the restoration of the leading organs of the Democratic League and the promotion of the Democratic League to respond to the "May Day" call of the Communist Party of China to convene a new political Consultative conference.
In 1949, he went south with the army and participated in the takeover of Shanghai, serving as deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Military Administration and the Municipal People's Government. In September, he attended the first plenary session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference as a representative of the Chinese People's Salvation Congress. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as Deputy Minister of Trade, Deputy Minister of Commerce, Deputy Director of the Sixth General Office of the Central Financial and Economic Commission of the Government Administration Council, Minister of local industry, Minister of light Industry, Minister of Food, and Secretary-General of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Located in the middle of East four six, east of Chaoyang men North Street, west of East four North Street. Built about the late Qing Dynasty, the courtyard was an official's residence during the Republic of China, and after the founding of New China, it was the residence of one of the famous "Seven gentlemen" and patriotic figure Sha Qianli (1901-1982). The hospital has three courtyards, facing south. Guangliang gate a room, the door has a word screen wall, inverted landlord a room, five west, three west wing room, two east room. One into the courtyard there is a temple a scroll type flower door, with screen door four. Around the hand gallery with upside down lintel, under the bench railing. Two into the hospital there are three north room, front porch back building, on both sides of the ear room one; There were three west wing rooms and one ear room on the south side. Three into the hospital has seven rear rooms, the west side of the axis, three west rooms. The buildings of the hospital are all hard hilltop roofs with tiled water ridges, and the leading heads have exquisite brick carvings.
On January 21, 1986, the hospital was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Dongcheng District. It is now used by the unit.
