It is the main tenor of the scoundrel literature to pursue the liberation of thought by describing the decadent and falling national life and to resist the overall style of social trend of thought at that time. This tone is also the color projection of the writer's life. In his works, the writer describes the philosophy of life full of decadence and nihilism with self-deprecation and banter, and hopes to reveal the dark side of human being hidden under morality and love in this way, so as to get the real liberation of human nature. This kind of ideological structure of writing decadence by joking with oneself and seeking liberation by decadence is one of the connotation of Taizai literature.
Most of the protagonists in Dazai Ji's literary works are conscious of "feeling their own sin". In his youth, he participated in the left-wing movement, during which time he realized that as a landlord, he was different from revolutionaries and even ordinary people, as if he were a man born with a sense of guilt. In addition, women were involved in several later suicides, which deepened his sense of guilt. This sense of sin was evident in his early works and influenced his later works significantly.
Because of this strong sense of sin, you can read the words "I want to die, I must die, living is the seed of sin" in the novel Human Disconnection, so readers can constantly read the description of death and suicide in later works. "Death" and "suicide" have become the cornerstone of Taizai's literature, which has been running through the entire literary creation. In Christianity, sin and punishment are relative. It is not enough to punish oneself for the pain of sin in a decadent and depraved way, and when death becomes less terrible in the face of reality, Taizai's protagonist eventually moves toward self-destruction. From the fear of real life, to the nihilistic guilt of being born, to the degradation and decadence of failing to grasp the meaning of life, and finally to death, this is the whole vein of Taizai's literature.

Growing up in a family with a large population and a large number of women, Taizaiji had a special feeling for women since he was a child, which was shown in a large number of depictions of women in his literary works. In addition, Dazaiji separated from his mother when he was an infant, and separated from his nursing mother and aunt in the process of growing up, which caused Dazaiji to have a kind of ambivalent psychological feelings of maternal desire, fear and aversion to women. Therefore, in the process of creating literary works, based on this special emotion and contradictory psychology, Dazai wrote a large number of works with female themes, and even created works through the writing method of female monowhite style (narrating the first-person conversation style with the help of female tone) in many novels, such as "The First Person Conversation style".
