In September 1958, Huaxiuying Town was established in the territory of Huaxiuying Commune, which belongs to Yu County.
In May 1961, Huayuoying Commune in Yangyuan County separated High Wall, Jinjiazhuang, Shixia (Nihewan) and Datianwa Commune.
In March 1984, Huaxiuying Commune was changed to Huazuying Township; In May of the same year, it was changed from Huaioying Township to Huaioying Town.
In January 1996, Nihewan Township merged into Huaxiaoying Town.
